The long lost relatives

I crossed over from Vermont to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to have lunch with an aunt & cousin that I hadn't seen for thirty some years & one I hadn't seen in 58 years.

Big money & Skidmore college in Saratoga Springs an indicated by these 2 houses opposite each other near the freeway entrance.

In the picture with all of us it's sister Marilyn,
Fran, Joe & me.

There's the restaurant where we ate.

We talked about family stories. & it was like the time between seeing each other disappeared. Our meeting made me have a physical sense of clan. How powerful are blood ties. Here were 3 people with whom I have spent little time & have n0 more in common with than a million other people except we are family. It was profound. I had that same sense of being tied to generations when I held my first grandson, Max.

I had a wonderful time & wished we lived closer.

I'm at 10,00 0 miles on my road trip so I went to have an oil change in Glen Falls, N.Y. on my way back to Diana's. Bad news: a repair close to $500 but they had to order parts & I'd have to come back from Vermont tomorrow.
