Rowan Oak

Rowan Oak was the family home of the Faulkners for 40 years. The portrait of the author over the mantel was done by his mother.

Those are his riding pants in the foreground of the bedroom & this disc on the mantel shows the number he used (64) in horse competitions. He did not believe in air conditioners & the day after he died his wife had an air conditioner installed in the bedroom.
